Heather Frame-Emery, LSW

Social Worker

Heather joined Madison Adoption Associates in 2020 as a social worker in the Northern New Jersey and North Eastern Pennsylvania areas.  She brings with her a strong commitment to the adoption community.   Heather loves children and believes deeply that there is a family for every child. She enjoys getting to know our families during their adoption journey and educating and supporting them through the process. She has experience with providing options counseling to birth parents as well as adoption planning, completing home studies and court reports, and guiding and supporting families through post placement and post adoption services.

Heather is a versatile and adaptive social work professional with years of experience in adoption, mental health, and substance abuse recovery as a counselor, advocate, case manager, supervisor, and manager.  She has worked in many different milieus and with persons of all ages. She has her Master’s degree in Social Work from Fordham University and is licensed to practice in New Jersey and New York.

Heather believes that every person and family have a “story” and is passionate about guiding and supporting children and families to know and tell their stories.  Heather’s own story of being widowed when her two sons were seven and nine, and her later marriage and growth of her family, including the addition of three grown children, two of whom were adopted, informs her work. Heather moves between her New York and Pennsylvania homes.  Her happy place is in her PA home in the Pocono Mountains with her husband, sharing a cup of coffee, conversation, and marveling at the hummingbirds.  She enjoys gardening, reading, puzzles, and the great outdoors.
